RYA SAILING SCHOOL
The Royal Yachting
Association is the most recognize teaching facility in the world.
It means
that you can expect to be taught by an experience skipper aboard a seaworthy
yacht. Our school is inspected regularly from UK inspectors to ensure that
training yachts and instructors meet the high standards required from the RYA
and Maritime and Coastguard agency (MCA).
All courses practical or
theory are done in English.
At the end of each successful course the student receives an RYA
certificate.
Practical Sailing Courses
Competent
Crew (two weekends or 5 days)
This is a beginner?s course. Course
start late afternoon in the Marina to give a chance for the crew to settle and
find their way around the yacht before setting sails the next day. The
instructor gives a briefing about safety and generally all you need to know
before depart. By the end of this course you should be able to steer, handle
sails, keep lookout, row dinghy and assist all the day routines on
board.

Day Skipper-Non
Tidal (three weekend or 5 days)
The Day skipper practical course is
for aspiring skippers who have some yachting experience and basic navigation and
sailing ability.
Each trainee skipper will be asked to skipper a yacht in a
short passage. At the end of this course you should be able to skipper a yacht
and take full responsibility about all aspect of the boat.

Coastal Skipper-Non
Tidal (Three weekend or 5 days)
This is an advance-skippering course
for yachtsmen and women who have considerable knowledge of sailing and
navigation. Coastal skippers should be able to undertake more difficult passages
by day and night and handle yacht in more demanding situations.
By the end of
the course you should have the knowledge if not the experience to became a
Yachtmaster. The course consists of skippered passages by each of the trainees
in a whole variety of situations. It adds up to a satisfying but intensive
week.
Suggested min pre-course experience: 15 days (two days as a
skipper), 300 miles, and eight night hours. Extensive knowledge for navigation
(day skipper/yachtmaster RYA shore base course).

Yachtmaster: Only available for very experience
skippers. Please contact us in order to provide you with more information how to
pass your Yachtmaster exam.
Suggested min pre-course experience:
Theory of Yachtmaster shorebase, 50 days, five days as a skipper, 2,500 miles,
five passages over 60 miles, two nights as a skipper. If exam is done in Cyprus
you must have minimum 1,200 mile on tidal water.
